The events during the evacuation of the CHP Headquarters following the court order caused widespread repercussions in the public. The images of dozens of police entering the building with smoke bombs and the communication of the "absolute nullity" decision, as Özgür Özel and his staff left the building, ignited a new debate.

The DEM Party delegation that went to İmralı yesterday shared Abdullah Öcalan's evaluations regarding the evacuation operation at the CHP Headquarters with the public today.

According to what the DEM Party İmralı delegation conveyed, Öcalan said, "Is it a democratic thing to break down the door of a political party's headquarters with a sledgehammer? The practices and developments against the Republican People's Party are related to the absence of a properly functioning democracy and democratic politics.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Police teams entered the party building to serve the decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice regarding the CHP congress case and to ensure the evacuation of the CHP Headquarters.
Upon the Ankara Governorate's instruction to the Ankara Police Department for the evacuation of the CHP Headquarters in line with the court decision, police teams began attempts to negotiate with party members.
Police teams, who met with CHP Deputy Murat Emir and others in the Headquarters garden, began preparations to enter the Headquarters building after waiting for a while.
Party members in the Headquarters garden threw water and glass bottles at the teams that breached the iron garden gate. Police teams entered the Headquarters by intervening with pepper spray against the party members in the garden and the building.
After the evacuation of the CHP Headquarters, Özel, who left the headquarters, moved towards the Parliament along with some deputies and party members.
