SUSPENDED FROM DUTY
In the statement made by the Ministry, the following was recorded:
"Within the scope of the investigation conducted against Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit for the crime of 'bribery,' upon the decision of the Seferihisar Criminal Court of Peace dated 28.06.2026 and numbered 2026/63 inquiry, which ruled that he be placed under judicial control by not leaving his residence, he has been temporarily suspended from duty by the Ministry of Interior as a precautionary measure in accordance with Article 127 of the Constitution and Article 47 of the Municipality Law No. 5393."
