The Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Branch conducted simultaneous operations on July 28 in Istanbul and Bursa, raiding 7 different criminal organizations. In the operations targeting organizations whose leaders are abroad, 28 people were detained, and 4 unlicensed pistols and 1 pump-action shotgun were seized at the addresses.
An operation was conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Branch against organized crime groups. A total of 28 people were detained in Istanbul-centered operations targeting seven separate organizations.
ISTANBUL CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICES TOOK ACTION
In joint efforts with the Istanbul Police Department's Intelligence Branch, coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, operations were carried out against seven separate criminal organizations whose leaders were identified as being abroad, in the districts of Başakşehir, Güngören, Avcılar, Maltepe, Fatih, Esenyurt, Kağıthane, and Bağcılar.
GRAVE CRIMES: 28 SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY
In simultaneous operations carried out on July 28 in Istanbul and Bursa, 28 suspects were detained for involvement in numerous different crimes, primarily including 'Intentional Endangerment of Public Safety, Damage to Property, Law No. 6136 (Firearms and Knives), and Threats.' During searches at the raided addresses, 4 unlicensed handguns and 1 pump-action shotgun were seized.
In a statement from the Police Department, it was said: 'The investigation processes related to the operation conducted on this matter are ongoing.'
