7 OF THEM ARE ACTIVE PUBLIC OFFICIALS
According to a statement from the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an investigation was launched by the Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau into the civilian covert structure of the armed terrorist organization FETÖ/PDY.
Within the scope of the investigation, as a result of coordinated efforts by the National Intelligence Organization and the Ankara Police Department Anti-Terrorism Branch teams, it was determined that the suspects used the organization's secret communication tool, the ByLock messaging program.
DETAILS OF PAYPHONE LINES
It was announced that there were statements under the effective remorse provision regarding the suspects, that they had records of being contacted sequentially or individually from payphones and landlines, and that their connections with covert supervisors and operational lines were identified. In this context, detention orders were issued for a total of 24 suspects, 7 of whom are active public officials.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN 11 PROVINCES
A simultaneous operation was launched in 11 provinces, centered in Ankara, to apprehend the suspects.
