Operation against those providing financing to terrorist organizations in Istanbul! 2 people arrested.

In a simultaneous operation organized by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 9 out of 10 suspects accused of providing financial support to terrorist organizations were detained. While 2 suspects were arrested, 2 others were placed under house arrest.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office conducted simultaneous operations in three provinces, primarily in Istanbul, to prevent financing of terrorist organizations. As a result of the operation, 2 suspects were arrested after being referred to the courthouse, while judicial control measures in the form of 'house arrest' were applied to 2 other suspects.

Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to prevent financing of terrorist organizations, teams from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Terrorism Branch carried out simultaneous dawn operations on May 5 in Istanbul, Ankara, and Malatya, aiming to capture 10 suspects. 9 suspects were detained in Istanbul and Malatya.

REQUEST FOR ARREST OF 6 SUSPECTS

Of the 9 suspects referred to the courthouse after being detained, 6 were sent to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for arrest for the crime of 'violating the law on terrorism', while 1 was referred with a request for judicial control in the form of a 'travel ban'. 2 suspects were released after their statements at the prosecutor's office, while it was learned that efforts to capture the suspect who is on the run were ongoing.

ARREST FOR 2 SUSPECTS, HOUSE ARREST DECISION FOR 2 PERSONS

Among the suspects whose procedures were completed at the Peace Criminal Court, Mehmet Aslan and Emre Altan were arrested and sent to prison. The suspects İsmail Geçer, Deniz Kaplan, and Cevahire Beysülen were released under judicial control measures in the form of a 'travel ban', while judicial control in the form of 'house arrest' was applied to suspects Hülya Gerçek and Nihat Göktaş.
