Tensions between India and Pakistan continue. India announced that it has launched Operation Sindoor and targeted six regions in Pakistan. Pakistan also reported that India carried out missile attacks on three regions. While Pakistan stated that 26 civilians were killed in India's attack, the toll of the nighttime assaults became clear as dawn broke.
As India's missile attacks on Pakistan's Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli regions escalate tensions in the area, the toll of the military standoff has worsened.
Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, announced that the death toll from India's attacks has risen to 26, with 45 injured. Chaudhry shared information that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down Indian fighter jets, stating, "It has been confirmed that 2 aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force were shot down. There are also other reports indicating that Pakistan's forces caused significant damage both on land and in the air." He expressed that India conducted a total of 24 attacks from 6 different points on Pakistan, with all targeted locations being civilian settlements, noting that mosques were particularly targeted and surrounding settlements suffered serious damage.
5 AIRCRAFT WERE SHOT DOWN
According to reports based on security sources from the Pakistani press, it was claimed that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down 5 jets and 1 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF). Additionally, it was reported that a missile attack carried out by Pakistan destroyed an Indian position on the Line of Control (LoC), which serves as the de facto border between the two countries.
