In an operation conducted across 8 provinces centered in Diyarbakır, 10 suspects, including Rojin Kabaiş's family, were detained for threatening and blackmailing families who had lost their children. Of the suspects, who were found to have organized under the code names 'C47' and 'C99' on digital platforms and used illegal interrogation panels, 2 were arrested.
Teams from the Diyarbakır Provincial Police Department's Cyber Crime Branch launched an operation against a network organized on digital platforms under the code names "C47" and "C99".
The teams determined that the suspects used illegal interrogation panels to create closed groups focused on cyberbullying, blackmail, and harassment.
Investigations revealed that the network targeted the families of Rojin Kabaiş, Hiranur Nilgün Aygar, and Kıvanç Uman, who lost their lives in incidents that caused deep sorrow in the public.
THREATS AND BLACKMAIL VIA FOREIGN NUMBERS
It was stated that the suspects contacted the families who lost their children through foreign numbers and illegal panel connections, engaging in threats and blackmail.
Within the scope of the investigation, legal proceedings were initiated against the suspects on charges of "Threat", "Unlawfully obtaining personal data", and "Stealing documents related to state security through deception".
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN 8 PROVINCES
Following the efforts of the Cyber Crime teams, simultaneous operations were carried out in 8 provinces centered on Diyarbakır.
In the operations, 10 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse.
2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
