"Organizational Crisis at the Saffron Harvest Festival"

In the program, Gökay Kalaycıoğlu stated that they received an offer for the festival months ago, determined the shooting days, and reached a preliminary agreement. However, he noted that at the last moment, the organization was handed over to another team by the municipality, saying:

''Our job is to manage the agenda. We made our plans thinking we had an agreement with Safranbolu Municipality. But whatever happened, after Mayor Elif Köse's trip to Istanbul, things changed. You have put us and Hakan Solaker in a difficult position.''

''SAFRAN IS NOT IN SAFE HANDS''

Questioning the reason for the change in the festival organization, Kalaycıoğlu implied that Mayor Elif Köse changed her decision after being hosted in Istanbul. Hakan Solaker reacted to this situation. Solaker said, ''There should be a merit-based management in a historical city like Safranbolu. But what is happening here seems to be a preference based on personal hospitality. Did those who hosted her in Istanbul take over the festival organization because they hosted her well? If that is the case, you could have come to us, and we would have hosted you well too.''

''You have put me and Hakan Solaker in a difficult position,'' said Gökay Kalaycıoğlu, adding, ''As a citizen, I say that Safran is not in safe hands. We received an explanation from the organizer Murat Çiçek. He organized it last year and will do it this year as well. He cannot do it either. The explanation is this: Ms. Elif Köse is visiting Istanbul. She is being hosted beautifully and shown around. She tells those who are showing her around, 'You do this organization this year.'
