Turkish salmon raised in the dam of Almus district in Tokat, which has no sea, is being sent to Europe and Far East countries via Sinop.
Almus Dam, located in the Almus district of Tokat, continues to make significant contributions to the regional economy not only through agricultural irrigation and energy production but also through aquaculture. The Turkish salmon produced in 29 farms at the dam, which irrigates approximately 300,000 acres of agricultural land and adds value to regional tourism, is receiving great interest in foreign markets. The fish raised in the dam are transported to the Black Sea after reaching a certain size, where they are grown and then sent to European countries.
