Actor Ozan Guven faced backlash from women at a venue he visited in Kadikoy. Women who saw Guven at the venue protested by chanting slogans against the actor.

"PERPETRATORS OUT" SLOGANS CHANTED

Women at the venue protested against Ozan Guven by chanting "Perpetrators out" slogans. Following the incident, it was learned that Guven was removed from the venue. Videos captured of the event quickly spread on social media.

As the incident quickly drew attention, Guven's previous assault case involving his ex-girlfriend Deniz Bulutsuz came back into the spotlight.

HE HAD RECEIVED A PRISON SENTENCE IN THE DENIZ BULUTSUZ CASE

The incident between Ozan Guven and his ex-girlfriend Deniz Bulutsuz in 2020 had been widely discussed in the public. Bulutsuz filed a criminal complaint on June 13, 2020, alleging that Guven had assaulted her.

Ozan Guven, on the other hand, filed a counter-complaint claiming that Bulutsuz had attacked him.

At the end of the trial, the Istanbul 58th Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced Ozan Guven to prison for the crime of "intentional injury." The court acquitted Guven of the charges of "insult" and "deprivation of liberty."

In the "simple assault" case filed against Deniz Bulutsuz, an acquittal decision was given.

Following the decision, Deniz Bulutsuz stated, "I won, I am waiting for the day he goes to prison." Ozan Guven said, "I don't care at all, I am dealing with the court."

Later, the appeals court upheld the local court's decision, and the prison sentence given to Ozan Guven became final.

Previously making a press statement about the incident, Guven said he did nothing and would not apologize, stating, "I didn't even flick a finger. I am getting punished because a lampshade was considered a weapon. The incident happened while I was forcibly taking the lampshade from her to prevent her from doing something stupid."

Ozan Guven has a finalized 45-day prison sentence from the assault case.
