CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel visited the detained comedian Deniz Göktaş at Tekirdağ Karatepe Prison. The visit brought back to mind Göktaş's previous statement, where he said he did not wish to meet with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and urged, "Please leave the CHP alone," which had sparked public debate.

CHP Group Chair Özgür Özel visited comedian Deniz Göktaş at Tekirdağ Karatepe Prison, where he is detained. The statement regarding the visit was made from Özgür Özel's communication account.

The statement said, "CHP Group Chair Özgür Özel visited comedian Deniz Göktaş at Tekirdağ Karatepe Prison, where he is detained."

KILIÇDAROĞLU HAD ALSO GONE TO THE COURT

Özel's visit brought back to the agenda that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was appointed as CHP Chairperson by a court decision following the absolute nullity decision in the CHP, had gone to the courthouse to support Deniz Göktaş.

During Kılıçdaroğlu's arrival at the court, he was protested by some citizens waiting in front of the courthouse.

"PLEASE LEAVE THE CHP ALONE"

Later, during a brief meeting with Göktaş, a notable dialogue occurred between Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the famous comedian.

In a statement made through his lawyer, Deniz Göktaş said that he did not request the meeting and used the following words: "In the morning, I received news that Kemal Bey was here and wanted to meet. I said I did not want to meet. We met in a forced manner before I went to the Criminal Court of Peace. He said 'get well soon,' I thanked him. He asked if I needed anything, I said no. Actually, I said I did not want to meet him. 'Since you came, millions of young people have one request; please leave the CHP alone,' I said. After I said this, he nodded his head and then left."

"THE PERSON I VOTED FOR IN 2023..."

In the continuation of his statement, Göktaş expressed his disappointment with these words: "The person I voted for in the 2023 presidential election became the first person I had to face rudeness with in 2026. What my lawyer said is true."

After Özgür Özel's recent visit to Tekirdağ Karatepe Prison, this dialogue between Deniz Göktaş and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, along with the developments in the CHP, have once again been brought to the public agenda.
