The ordinary council meeting of Galatasaray Club took place in February. The Vice President of Galatasaray Club, Metin Öztürk, drew attention with his statement, "Fenerbahçe Club exited the Banks Association Agreement by imitating Galatasaray. Beşiktaş Club also received authorization to imitate Galatasaray."
The Galatasaray Club's regular divan committee meeting for the month of February was held. The meeting, which took place in the Özhan Canaydın Conference Hall at RAMS Park, was attended by club president Dursun Özbek, board members, divan committee president Aykutalp Derkan, the divan committee team, and divan committee members.
A PROMOTIONAL MEETING WILL BE HELD
The item in the meeting regarding "the divan presidential election on March 14, 2026, allowing the candidates for divan president to make statements to the divan committee if they wish" was removed from the agenda by voting. Therefore, a promotional meeting for the candidates of the divan committee will be held at Galatasaray High School on February 28.
'THEY ARE ALL OUR VALUES'
Speaking at the meeting, Galatasaray Club's Vice President Metin Öztürk stated that he would not allow insults to former executive Erden Timur, former coach Fatih Terim, and former football player Arda Turan, who have served the club, saying, "If there is an insult to a professional who is not here and cannot respond, we must intervene immediately. Otherwise, the situation goes in another direction. We do not apologize while supporting those who add value to Galatasaray. All these names are our values." he said.
'WE DO NOT KICK ANYONE'
Öztürk stated that he did not agree with the criticisms made against former Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Vice President Erden Timur, who is currently detained for "money laundering from crime," saying, "We do not kick anyone. It is not appropriate to attack someone who is not here, has sponsored our club, has been there for us in every difficult time, has served as vice president, has fought for Galatasaray, and has put aside their own economic values. If someone has a blood feud, this is not the place to discuss it. Mr. Erden Timur has always shown the necessary effort for Galatasaray, the board of directors, members, and fans. He never tried to profit from Galatasaray. He contributed to Galatasaray with all his effort and strength. On behalf of our board and our president, I thank Erden Timur." he expressed.

Öztürk stated that the work done by Galatasaray serves as an example for other clubs, saying, "Fenerbahçe Club exited the Banks Association Agreement by imitating Galatasaray. Beşiktaş Club also received authority to imitate Galatasaray. The model is the same in all of them. The issue is not to sell something. The issue is to develop something and carry it forward in that way. A new contract for Riva is being discussed. Our work there is progressing incredibly quickly. Serious cash flows will come from there in a short time." he said.
