As flames erupted from the wing of the Airbus A320, which was bound for New York, the flight preparing for takeoff at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, was canceled due to an engine problem.

As flames rose from the wing of the Airbus A320 heading to New York, footage taken from inside the plane shows the panic experienced by the passengers. The United Airlines flight 1382, preparing for takeoff at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, had its departure canceled at 8:30 AM on Sunday due to a "motor issue."
According to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), 104 passengers and 5 crew members were evacuated and taken to the terminal by bus. There were no injuries, and the plane took off later that same day.
In the footage, a flight attendant can be heard asking passengers to remain in their seats, while a passenger shouts, "No, it's burning!" When the Houston fire department arrived at the scene, there was no fire left to extinguish.
Passenger Ashlyn Sharp told FOX News, "Once the passengers realized they wouldn't stay in their seats, they took us down the emergency slide at the back of the plane. We waited on the runway for about 2.5 hours. Eventually, service vehicles, ambulances, and police arrived."
This incident occurred days after two fatal accidents in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. A collision between a commercial plane and a military helicopter in the capital claimed 67 lives. In a helicopter ambulance crash in Philadelphia, 7 people died, and 22 were injured.
