A person in the district of Halfeti in Şanlıurfa shot and killed his wife and employee with a gun at his pistachio facility.
The incident occurred in the morning hours in Dergili neighborhood, which is connected to the district. Gafari Çolak (60), who has been experiencing psychological problems for a long time, opened fire with a gun on his wife Gülizar Çolak (59) and employee Nuh Kartal (50) at his pistachio facility. Çolak and Kartal, who were hit by the bullets, fell to the ground. Witnesses of the incident reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the facility.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
The medical team determined that Nuh Kartal had died after conducting an examination. Gülizar Çolak, who was taken to Halfeti State Hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite the interventions. Gafari Çolak was taken into custody by the gendarmerie teams.
An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
