A woman in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri attempted suicide by going onto the balcony of her 5th-floor apartment. Police persuaded the young woman to abandon her suicide attempt.
In the Kocasinan district of Kayseri, a woman attempted suicide by going onto the balcony of her 5th-floor apartment. A police officer who reached the balcony below her by climbing onto the adjacent balcony managed to communicate with her, and as a result of his persuasion efforts, the woman abandoned the suicide attempt. According to the information obtained, N.S., who lived on the 5th floor of a 10-story building located on 5333rd Street in Şeker Neighborhood of the district, attempted suicide by stepping onto her apartment's balcony. Following the report, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. While police took security measures in the vicinity, fire crews set up an air mattress beneath N.S.'s balcony.
COMMISSIONER PERSUADED THE YOUNG WOMAN TO ABANDON SUICIDE
Commissioner Murat A., who stepped onto the balcony of the neighbor living beneath N.S., made intense efforts to persuade the young woman and get her to move inside from the balcony. As a result of the commissioner's prolonged persuasion efforts, N.S. entered her home from the balcony and gave up the suicide attempt.
The commissioner's efforts to persuade the woman to abandon suicide were applauded by nearby citizens.
