The master of Arabesque music, Ferdi Tayfur, passed away on January 2. Family members have gone to court over the artist's inheritance.
According to the will opened at the 1st Civil Court of Peace in Marmaris, Ferdi Tayfur donated a portion of his inheritance to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), LÖSEV, and the Darüşşafaka Society, while the remaining inheritance was distributed among his children, grandchildren, and nephews. The names of Tayfur's daughter Tuğçe and son Timur were not mentioned in the inheritance.
When the singer's son Timur Turanbayburt and daughter Tuğçe Tayfur Aydın saw that they were not left a share of the inheritance, they objected to the will.
The siblings' lawyers requested a precautionary measure on all inheritance except for the donated properties and the appointment of a trustee. Finally, Tuğçe Tayfur Aydın announced on her social media account that a precautionary measure has been placed on all of her father's intellectual and industrial rights.
"JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL EVENTUALLY"
Tuğçe Aydın Tayfur stated the following in her post:
"By court order, a precautionary measure has been placed on all of my father's intellectual and industrial rights. This means that no one can sell my father's songs or generate commercial income from them. This is just the beginning. Justice will prevail eventually. I remind you again; God is present, there is no sorrow."
