President Erdogan went to Kazakhstan yesterday for official visits. Erdogan was welcomed by Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with an official ceremony at the Independence Palace.

President Erdogan and Tokayev held a one-on-one meeting at the Independence Palace and attended the Sixth Meeting of the Turkey-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

13 COOPERATION AGREEMENTS SIGNED

Speaking after the meeting, President Erdogan announced that 13 new bilateral cooperation agreements were signed.

Emphasizing the importance of Kazakhstan, Erdogan said, "We signed numerous documents. In our meeting with Mr. Tokayev and his delegation, we made cooperation agreements in many areas. We encourage our business circles to increase their investments in Kazakhstan and to establish ties that will develop our partnership. We will witness new collaborations through the Turkish-Kazakh Business Forum. We also discussed projects that expand our trade and investment relations today. May it be auspicious and beneficial. Kazakhstan holds a special place in the steps we have taken in energy in recent years. The importance of the East-West Middle Corridor, which is the modern counterpart of the Silk Road, is increasing day by day. We will encourage not only the shipment of goods but also the transportation of energy resources with Kazakhstan and our other partners."

"I THANK KAZAKHSTAN FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE FOR THE TURKIC WORLD"

Erdogan continued his remarks with the following statements:

We are determined to build new bridges with a spirit of unity. We see it as a responsibility to pass on the works of great figures to future generations. We have started efforts to open schools through the Turkish Maarif Foundation. I thank the President. We witnessed Kazakhstan's heartfelt bond with us and what they did immediately after the century's disaster. We have always felt the material and moral support of the Kazakh state by our side. Today, I am proud to inaugurate the school built in the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep. I sincerely believe that our children in these schools will pass our friendship on to future generations. I am greatly honored that they presented me with this precious medal.

Tomorrow, we will attend the unofficial meeting of the TDT in Turkistan, the spiritual capital of our Turkic world. I thank Kazakhstan for all they have done for the Turkic world. The TRNC will participate with observer status tomorrow, and we are pleased with this. Today, I discussed regional issues with the President. I thank Mr. Tokayev and his delegation for their hospitality.
