AK Party Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı stated that work on the new constitutional amendment continues, saying, 'Turkey will certainly achieve this with a shared understanding by reaching a consensus in Parliament on a new constitution and then presenting it to the nation's approval through a referendum. I hope we will reach this goal, and I believe we must.'

The Western Black Sea Regional Meeting, organized by the AK Party's Political and Legal Affairs Directorate, was held at a hotel in Abant Lake National Park. The meeting was attended by AK Party Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, AK Party deputies, AK Party provincial heads, and party members.

"WE WILL MAKE THE CONSTITUTION WITH A PARTICIPATORY APPROACH"

Speaking at the opening of the two-day meeting, Yazıcı stated that the constitution had been amended 19 times and said, "As you know, the most important change was made after the vile coup attempt on July 15, under the leadership of the alliance known as the People's Alliance, constructing the Presidential Government System or the presidential model and placing it into its entirety. Turkey will certainly achieve a new constitution with a participatory approach, by ensuring consensus in the Parliament and then presenting it to the nation's approval through a referendum. I believe we will achieve this goal, and we must achieve it. We are not without problems; we have problems. One of the most important items on Turkey's agenda today is 'Terror-Free Turkey.' Our greatest strength is our unity, our integrity, and our brotherhood. There is no value to measure this. Its worth and significance are immeasurably great and important. Therefore, necessary statements have been made and continue to be made on this matter as the People's Alliance. Our path continues," he said.

"THERE IS NO FIELD WE HAVE NOT TOUCHED IN 25 YEARS"

Yazıcı noted that legislative efforts for a 'Terror-Free Turkey' continue and stated the following:

"A framework regulation, a legal arrangement, will be made regarding this. Its work is ongoing. While achieving this goal, we will never adopt an attitude that offends the spirits of our martyrs or grieves our veterans. I want you to know this. Whatever is in Turkey's interest, the nation's goal, desire, and benefit, we will together rid Turkey of this scourge by achieving it. We have been governing Turkey for 25 years. There is no field we have not touched in 25 years. Our politics is inclusive and encompassing. We have not left any of Turkey's problems behind doors or in dungeons. We have addressed every issue by determining priorities and have built Turkey up to this day."

The remaining part of the meeting will continue behind closed doors to the press.
