President Erdogan: They brought down the party founded by Ataturk to a nightclub table.

Speaking at the party group meeting, President Erdoğan commented on the events within the CHP, stating, 'Regarding the debates on the CHP's 38th congress, those who took the congress to court and those who complained are CHP members themselves. With your permission, I must say that those who have degraded Gazi Mustafa Kemal's party to the level of nightclub tables are also themselves.'

President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at his party's group meeting, made striking assessments about the recent events in the CHP.

Instead of resolving their internal disputes calmly and quietly within the framework of court decisions, they sometimes blame us, sometimes the courts, and sometimes the media, never admitting their own faults, Erdoğan said. "But we have always said from the very beginning: In the debates regarding the 38th Congress of the CHP, those who organized the congress, those who claimed the congress was tainted, and those who took these allegations to court with documents to seek their rights are all CHP members. With your permission, I say that those who dragged Gazi Mustafa Kemal's party to nightclub tables are themselves."

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements:

"My dear nation, my esteemed fellow deputies, distinguished members of the press, very valuable guests, I greet you with my sincerest feelings, respect, and affection at the opening of our AK Party Group Meeting. I hope that our group meeting and the evaluations we will make here will bring goodness to our country, our nation, and our democracy. I welcome all our guests who have honored our meeting from different corners of Turkey, and I thank each of them individually for their enthusiasm, excitement, and loyalty.

In these days when events that do not suit Turkish politics are taking place, I hope that this magnificent picture of brotherhood in the AK Party Group will serve as an example to everyone, especially to those trying to marginalize politics. On the occasion of this first meeting after Eid al-Adha, I pray that the worship of our brothers who have performed the Hajj pilgrimage will be accepted and blessed in the sight of Allah.

ELECTIONS IN 6 TOWNS

My esteemed comrades, since the very first day we set out, our unity with the nation has continued to grow and strengthen, thank God. As the AK Party and the People's Alliance, we witnessed once again last weekend the strength of the bridges of affection we have built with our noble nation. Our people went to the polls on Sunday in 6 towns in Gümüşhane, Nevşehir, and Tokat to elect their mayors and council members. In the by-elections held, the candidate of our AK Party won in four of the six towns, and the candidate of our alliance partner, the Nationalist Movement Party, won in one. The People's Alliance has achieved a very meaningful election victory. First of all, I wholeheartedly congratulate Mustafa Karadağ in Tokat's Bağtaşı Town, Mustafa Altın in Tokat's Yolüstü Town, Kemalettin Demirkıran in Gümüşhane's Tekke Town, and Mustafa Özer in Nevşehir's Mustafapaşa Town, who were elected as mayors with the appreciation of their fellow citizens. Likewise, I convey my congratulations to Hikmet Temizel, who was elected as the mayor of Tokat's Kuşçu Town from the Nationalist Movement Party. I wish our mayors and council members great success from Allah in serving their towns. I also thank our citizens who overwhelmingly turned out at the polls for their support for our party and our alliance. Inshallah, we will never betray this trust and affection, and we will strive to repay our debt of gratitude to our nation by working harder.

Again, on Sunday, June 7, polling stations were set up for the election of muhtars in 355 neighborhoods and for the election of the council of elders in 37 neighborhoods across our country. We heartily congratulate our muhtars, whom we see as the fundamental building blocks of our democracy, and wish them success.

"THEY HAVE BEEN SILENT FOR 3 DAYS"

Dear friends, look, I want to draw your attention to an important aspect of the picture that emerged in the June 7 elections. As you know, for some time, certain actors from the main opposition party have been trying to create their own agenda by speaking in a high tone. They were supposedly pontificating through citizens they dragged from city to city in buses, viewing themselves in a magnifying glass. But as soon as the election results came in, they all disappeared from the scene. Those who were shouting at the top of their lungs until yesterday have been silent for 3 days. There is no one speaking, no one commenting on the elections, and no one coming out to apologize to the citizens they incited.

"IF YOU CONTINUE WITH THIS MINDSET..."

In fact, we witnessed a similar audacity after the May 14-28 elections. We all remember those days like yesterday. We faced so many things. Even though they knew very well that they were behind, they shamelessly came out and lied to our people by saying 'We are ahead.' During the campaign period, they tried to manipulate voters through ordered polls. Even after the election results were finalized, instead of admitting they were wrong, they blamed the nation. They looked for the fault not in themselves but in the preferences of the nation. Despite the heavy defeat they suffered, they could never understand that politics is not just echo chambers on social media. They are doing the same today. I only want to say this to these monuments of arrogance who blame everyone and everything except their own incompetence: Gentlemen, I'm sorry. If you continue with this mindset, you will receive more slaps from the nation at the ballot box. If you don't correct yourselves and engage in realistic politics, you will become like a nightingale that has eaten too many mulberries. If you cannot free yourselves from the tutelage of coup plotters and criminal organizations, you will taste more defeat and experience more disappointment.

"THEY NEVER TRIED TO CHANGE THEIR MINDSET"

Look, I always say this. The problem is not just their perspective on politics, their style of politics, their ugly and filthy language. The main problem is their mindset. It is their fascist ideology. The problem is that their connection with the street is not genuine, sincere, authentic, or heartfelt. The problem is that they do not see the nation as the decisive factor and they underestimate Anatolian wisdom. The problem is that they see politics not as a means of serving the people but as a door to personal career and profit. Throughout our nearly quarter-century of competition, they have been defeated in all these aspects many times. They have been wrong many times. But they never once tried to change their mindset. Dear brothers and sisters, judging by their recent behaviors, they don't seem likely to change either.

"THOSE WHO ORGANIZED THE CONGRESS AND THOSE WHO CLAIMED IT WAS TAINTED ARE ALL CHP MEMBERS"

Instead of resolving their internal disputes calmly and quietly within the framework of court decisions, they sometimes blame us, sometimes the courts, and sometimes the media, never admitting their own faults. But we have always said from the very beginning: In the debates regarding the 38th Congress of the CHP, those who organized the congress, those who claimed the congress was tainted, and those who took these allegations to court with documents to seek their rights are all CHP members."
