President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performed the Eid prayer at the Central Mosque in Güneysu district of Rize. After the prayer, Erdoğan greeted citizens and made statements to the press.

Emphasizing the importance of the month of Ramadan, Erdoğan said, "We have left behind the blessed month of Ramadan, which begins with mercy, is in the middle with forgiveness, and ends with salvation from eternal torment, and today we are honored with Eid al-Fitr. May my Lord make Eid al-Fitr a means of salvation for all my Islamic family."
