Kate Middleton will attend the men's final of Wimbledon tomorrow and present the winner's trophy. A statement from Kensington Palace stated that the Duchess of Wales will present the award to either Novak Djokovic or Carlos Alcaraz. PRESENTING THE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHYToday, Wimbledon President Debbie Jevans will present the women's champion trophy to either Jasmine Paolini or Barbora Krejcikova in place of the Duchess of Wales. If she is unable to attend due to cancer preventive treatment, the Honorary LTA President, the Duchess of Gloucester, was planned to serve as a substitute. Kate last appeared in public at the Trooping The Colour ceremony last month. The Duchess has been serving as the patron of the All England Club since 2016 and presents the trophies every year. Club official Jevans stated that they provide Kate with "as much flexibility as possible" and said, "Her health and recovery are our priority. We don't know what will happen. We just said that we will work with her and be as flexible as possible." STRUGGLING THROUGH CANCERThe Duchess mentioned that she hoped to attend occasional events throughout the summer last month, but like many cancer patients, she has experienced "good and bad days." Her husband, Prince William, as the President of the Football Association, will travel to Germany tomorrow evening to attend England's Euro 2024 final against Spain at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
