After the suspect attributed even her paid subscription posts to artificial intelligence, the prosecutor's office acted, presenting physical surveillance and real video recordings in the file, invalidating the defense.
Social media content creator Fatma Soydaş defended herself against charges of obscenity and insulting religious values by claiming, "The images are AI-generated." However, the prosecution refuted this defense by presenting physical surveillance and video recordings included in the case file.
Details have emerged regarding the interrogation of Fatma Soydaş at the courthouse, who is under investigation by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for "publicly insulting religious values adopted by a segment of the public" and "acting as an intermediary for publishing obscene content" due to her posts on TikTok and Instagram.
Fatma Soydaş, who was believed to have fled after the detention order and was brought to the courthouse upon capture, blamed all the accusations on AI technology throughout her interrogation.
CLAIMED "MY SUBSCRIPTION CONTENT IS ALSO AI-GENERATED"
Denying both her general posts and subscription content on paid platforms in her statement to the prosecutor's office, Fatma Soydaş alleged she was a victim of perception, using the following words:
"I did not share any obscene content in my subscription content either. Everyone thinks those posts were made by me. Due to the AI-generated photos made over me, everyone assumes so."
PROSECUTION PRESENTED REAL RECORDS
However, Soydaş's claim that "my face was montaged with AI" hit a wall of prosecution. Examining the evidence in the file, the prosecution stated that the suspicion was not limited to photos alone, and that actual video recordings of Fatma Soydaş's physical meetings and contacts with other individuals were also included in the file, completely refuting the AI defense.

Meanwhile, when questioned about a photo in the investigation file taken at a stadium holding a yellow, foamy drink, Soydaş defended herself against the charge of insulting religious values as follows:
"There is no indication that the drink in the photo is beer. I guess it was perceived as beer only due to the foam. When I saw that the post was perceived this way, I realized it was inconsistent with my faith and views, and I removed it."
ARRESTED
After her processing at the police station, Soydaş was referred to the courthouse and subsequently arrested by the court she was brought before.
