In a prostitution operation organized by the Kars Provincial Police Department, 20 suspects were detained, while 21 women who were found to be forced into prostitution were rescued.

In coordination with the Kars Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out by the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch against individuals identified as committing crimes of "promoting prostitution, facilitating, providing a location, or coercion."

SIMULTANEOUS RAID WITH 140 POLICE OFFICERS

Following technical and physical surveillance, a simultaneous operation was conducted at 2 alcohol-serving venues and 2 apartment businesses at dawn, with the participation of 140 police officers and drone support. The accommodation places and entertainment venues identified in advance were thoroughly searched during the operation.

21 WOMEN PLACED UNDER PROTECTION

During the searches conducted as part of the operation, a total of 21 women, including 18 foreign nationals and 3 Turkish citizens, who were determined to have been forced into prostitution and victimized, were rescued by the teams. The rescued women were handed over to the Immigration Smuggling and Border Gates Branch Directorate for deportation procedures, while the 3 Turkish victims were interviewed.

A LARGE NUMBER OF MATERIALS SEIZED

In the operation organized by the police teams, the searches resulted in the seizure of 1 unlicensed pistol, 1 magazine, 17 cartridges, 72,000 TL and 400 euros believed to have been obtained from promoting prostitution, facilitating, and providing locations, 45 mobile phones, 1 rotary knife, 4 tablets, 1 laptop, 1 camera recording device belonging to a venue, 2 computer cases, and 1 camera.

20 SUSPECTS DETAINED

A total of 20 suspects detained during the operation were taken to the Provincial Police Department. 2 of the suspects were released after their procedures at the police station. Judicial control measures were applied to 3 suspects, while 3 suspects were released by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

A total of 12 individuals, including S.Ç. (26), F.Ü. (31), T.İ. (44), E.B. (62), R.Ş. (59), E.G. (38), S.Y. (48), S.Y. (45), E.B. (43), D.R. (36), G.F. (40), and O.Ç. (33), who were referred to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were arrested and sent to prison by the Kars Peace Criminal Court. In a statement made by the Kars Police Department, it was emphasized that the fight against crimes and criminals that disturb public peace and security would continue resolutely.
