During the ceremony held in Karaman on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of August 30 Victory Day, a protocol dispute overshadowed the joy of victory. A verbal argument broke out between Karaman Mayor Savaş Kalaycı and Provincial Protocol Director Ömer Yılmaz over the seating and protocol arrangement at the ceremony area. While the tense moments were reflected on cameras, it was noted that some provincial heads of political parties also reacted to the protocol order at the same ceremony.

Tension erupted during the official ceremony of the Victory Day on August 30 held in Karaman due to the protocol order. The tension, which was claimed to have arisen because the AK Party Provincial Chairman was placed in the front row, caused a major crisis. A verbal argument took place between Karaman Mayor Savaş Kalaycı and Karaman Governorship Protocol Officer Ömer Yılmaz. Those moments were reflected on the cameras at the ceremony area.

PROTOCOL ORDER CAUSED THE ARGUMENT 

In the argument that started due to the seating and protocol order during the ceremony, Mayor Savaş Kalaycı and Protocol Officer Ömer Yılmaz came face to face. Officials around intervened to prevent the tension from escalating.

HE SAID "DON'T BE RUDE"

In the images reflected on the cameras, Kalaycı was heard telling Protocol Officer Yılmaz, "Don't be rude." Yılmaz responded to these words by saying, "My Mayor, I will not learn manners from you."

"I WILL CAUSE A CRISIS HERE"

During the continuation of the argument, Kalaycı was seen addressing those around him, pointing at the Protocol Officer, and using the words "Take him away, Mr. İbrahim. Look, I will cause a crisis here."

With the intervention of other officials, the tension was ended, and the official ceremony program continued.

CHP AND NEW PARTY PROVINCIAL CHAIRS ALSO REACTED 

It was reported that during the same ceremony, the provincial chairs of the CHP and the New Party also reacted to the seating order in the protocol and left the ceremony area.
