Ağırel had reported on allegations that former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek and his family transferred unregistered money to companies abroad, after which the chief prosecutor's office launched an investigation into Gökçek.
"I WILL BE AT THE COURTHOUSE TOMORROW"
Journalist Murat Ağırel, in a post on his X account, said, "I will be at the Ankara Courthouse tomorrow. After the testimony, I will inform the public within the framework that I can legally share."
AN INVESTIGATION HAD BEEN LAUNCHED
Ağırel had recently prepared a report regarding the Gökçek family's money transfers and investments to companies in Germany. The report included allegations that the Gökçek family made agreements for a building in Düsseldorf and a shopping center in Velbert. Following the report, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into Gökçek.
