European intelligence sources claim that Russia is preparing military provocations against NATO member Baltic countries and Poland. European intelligence units have suggested that Russia may be preparing military provocations against NATO member Baltic countries and Poland.
According to reports in the British press, Latvian intelligence has indicated that Russia is considering limited-scale military moves that could target Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
A senior political source from a NATO member country also claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin might plan to test NATO's solidarity, particularly through the Baltic states.
CLAIMS OF "HYBRID ATTACKS"
According to intelligence assessments, it has been suggested that Moscow may aim to send a message to the West to "stop supporting Ukraine" through missile, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), or similar hybrid attacks, rather than a full-scale invasion.
UKRAINE'S UAV ATTACKS PRESSURE RUSSIA
The report noted that Ukraine has increased long-range UAV attacks targeting Russia's oil refineries, energy facilities, and military infrastructure in recent months.
Analysts state that these attacks are putting pressure on Russia's energy revenues and straining its war economy. It is also assessed that Russian air defense systems are not sufficiently effective against long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
PUTIN'S NUCLEAR THREAT
Meanwhile, the report also included that Russian President Vladimir Putin warned last week that "nuclear attacks with catastrophic consequences" could be launched if the West does not change its stance on Ukraine.
