QATAR AIRWAYS FLIGHTS DIVERTED TO ISTANBUL AND ANKARA
Flights departing from various cities in Europe to Qatar's capital, Doha, were diverted to Istanbul Airport and Esenboğa Airport in Ankara. It was reported that 5 planes that changed course while heading to Doha landed at Istanbul Airport, and this number is expected to increase during the night.
TURKISH AIRLINES ALSO AFFECTED
The Airbus A330 aircraft with tail registration TK760, which took off from Istanbul to Dubai, also returned to Istanbul via Antalya due to the closure of the airspace. AJet's flights planned for today to the cities of Dammam, Dubai, and Sharjah have been canceled.
