Mustapha Hadji, one of the legends of Moroccan football, criticized national team player Sofyan Amrabat's decision not to come to the national team as long as head coach Mohammed Ouahbi is in charge. Addressing Amrabat, Hadji said, 'You are not above the national team, the national team coach, or the Moroccan flag. You must come and play for the national team. Even if you play for just one minute, you should keep your mouth shut because this is an honor for you. The rule is simple; shut your mouth and play your game.'
Mustapha Hadji, one of the legendary names of Moroccan football, made striking statements about the coaching crisis in the national team. Hadji harshly criticized Sofyan Amrabat, who stated that he would not come to the national team as long as head coach Muhammed Ouahbi is in charge.
''YOU DON'T GET TO CHOOSE THE COACH''
Reacting to Amrabat's boycott decision, Hadji stated that the player cannot act individually and said, "Amrabat is playing not for head coach Muhammed Ouahbi, but for the Moroccan National Team, which represents his country and flies its flag. Therefore, no matter who the coach at the helm is, he must step onto the pitch and play."
''SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND PLAY YOUR GAME''
Emphasizing that it is unacceptable for a footballer to make a coaching change a condition, Hadji said, "You represent your country, not the head coach of the national team. Whether the person in charge is Ouahbi, Regragui, or someone else, who do you think you are to demand that the coach be changed? Who are you to say this? You are not above the national team, the national team coach, or the Moroccan flag. You must come and play for the national team. Even if you play for just one minute, you should keep your mouth shut because this is an honor for you. The rule is simple: shut your mouth and play your game." he stated.
