Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison in the case of the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran. The prosecutor of the case appealed to the court of appeals, requesting a life sentence for Bahtiyar.

On the 19th day of the disappearance of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in a sack hidden under stones and bushes in the Eğertutmaz Stream in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, a new development has occurred in the case regarding her murder. In the trial held at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, mother Yüksel Güran, brother Enes Güran, and uncle Salim Güran were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional murder of a child in complicity," while the informant Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for "destroying, concealing, or altering evidence."

AGGRAVATED LIFE IMPRISONMENT REQUESTED

Bahtiyar's lawyers, Adnan Ataş and Ali Eryılmaz, submitted a petition to the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, where the trial is being held, requesting the release of their client, to be sent to the Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court.

While discussions continue, the prosecutor of the case has applied to the appellate court for an aggravated life imprisonment request for Nevzat Bahtiyar, who received a 4-year and 6-month prison sentence.
