The DEM Party delegation made a call following their visit to İmralı, where the leader of the terrorist organization, Abdullah Öcalan, issued a statement. After the call, which was announced in Kurdish, English, and Arabic in addition to Turkish, it was observed that some citizens in Diyarbakır were unable to hold back their tears.
The DEM Party delegation went to İmralı Island today to hold the third meeting with the leader of the terrorist organization. The delegation, which included Ahmet Türk, Pervin Buldan, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Tülay Hatimoğulları, Tuncer Bakırhan, Cengiz Çiçek, and Faik Özgür Erol, returned to Istanbul after the visit.
"PKK MUST DISBAND"
After the visit, the delegation made a call from a press conference held at a hotel in Taksim, Istanbul, regarding the leader of the terrorist organization, Abdullah Öcalan. In Öcalan's letter, it was stated, "The call made by Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, in this climate formed by the will expressed by the President and the positive approaches of other political parties towards the known call, calls for the laying down of arms, and I take on the historical responsibility of this call. All groups must lay down their arms, and the PKK must disband."

The call, announced in Kurdish, English, and Arabic in addition to Turkish, was followed by citizens in Diyarbakır from giant screens set up in the squares, and it was observed that they could not hold back their tears.
