Following the hotel fire at the Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort, which resulted in the deaths of 78 people, the Bolu Deputy Mayor and fire department officials who were taken into custody have been referred to the court with a request for their arrest.
In the Grand Kartal Hotel located in Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort, 78 people lost their lives in a fire. While a national mourning was declared across the country following the fire disaster, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
ARRESTS REQUESTED
A new development has occurred regarding Bolu Deputy Mayor Sedat Gülener, Acting Fire Chief Kenan Coşkun, and a firefighter who were detained as part of the investigation.
After their procedures at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Gülener, Coşkun, and firefighter I.A., along with the hotel's interior architect A.B., were sent to the Bolu Courthouse for prosecution questioning.
While interior architect A.B. was released after questioning, Gülener, Coşkun, and I.A. were brought before the Bolu 2nd Criminal Court of Peace with a request for their arrest. The legal proceedings for Gazelle Hotel General Manager A.D. are still ongoing.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Previously detained as part of the investigation, Halit Ergül, the owner of Grand Kartal Hotel, along with the company's general manager Emir Aras and hotel manager Zeki Yılmaz, were among 15 people arrested, while 6 others were released under judicial control.
