AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, who reacted to the scandalous slogan shouted by DEM Party members in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, said, "Behaviors that will provoke a reaction from citizens should not be engaged in."
After the party's MYK meeting, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made important statements. Evaluating the agenda, Çelik strongly reacted to the "Apo" slogan shouted by DEM Party members in the Turkish Grand National Assembly the previous day.
"BEHAVIORS THAT WILL PROVOKE A REACTION FROM CITIZENS SHOULD NOT BE ENGAGED IN"
Stating that "No political party should think of its own agenda as the agenda of the process," Çelik said, "High political wisdom and a solution-oriented approach require the production of an integrated political mind and political discourse regarding the process. If you say, 'I want to be on the side of the solution, but I want to make my own discourse the main color of the process outside of a common discourse,' different discussions will arise. 'Behaviors that will provoke a reaction from citizens should not be engaged in. Shadows fall on the main idea, and the main idea becomes tarnished,' he expressed.
ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON GAZA
In his statements, Çelik thanked those who participated in the demonstrations held on the anniversary of October 7, saying, "Our citizens in the Sumud Fleet have been brought to our country. It has once again been recorded as a sign of the barbarism of the Netanyahu government. It has been seen once again that they know nothing but bullying, barbarism, massacre, and genocide. In the end, even if they are physically prevented, they have carried out an action that conveys Gaza's message to the whole world," he said.
Speaking about the attack on the Freedom Fleet, Çelik stated, "Israel is detaining with its usual barbarism. This is once again an announcement of lawlessness. All these crimes will eventually be accounted for. They need to be released as soon as possible.
CEASEFIRE PLAN IN GAZA
Çelik stated that the increase in Israel's attacks on Gaza after Hamas's response shows that Netanyahu is an enemy of peace, and emphasized that the Gaza plan should be given a chance. Çelik said, "In this context, he is trying to produce massacre opportunities to sabotage every peace initiative. The international community should not allow this. The real solution to this issue is the existence of a Palestinian state there. The current Israeli government is trying to use even discussing a two-state solution as a crime," he expressed.
"PALESTINE SHOULD BE GOVERNED BY PALESTINIANS"
Çelik also stated that Palestine should only be governed by Palestinians and that the expulsion of Palestinians is unacceptable. He announced that they expect to hear good developments regarding negotiations today, stating that a statement would be made in the coming hours and that achieving a ceasefire would facilitate aid to Gaza.
"THE AGREEMENT SHOULD NOT REMAIN ON PAPER"
Regarding the meeting of the US Ambassador with Syrian President Bashar, Çelik said, "If certain views are being conveyed to the SDF to comply with the March 10 agreement and to produce a correct approach towards the principle of one state, one army in Syria, we welcome these discussions. There is the March 10 agreement there. The SDF has stated that it will realize this within a certain timeframe, but there has been no step taken. The agreement should not remain on paper. The SDF's attempts to evade this process align with the agenda of those who want to create instability in the region," he said.
