MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, targeting the DEM Party through Aleppo and the SDF in his group meeting, stated that the statement "We are warning Turkey" is a "problematic language." DEM Party Co-Chair Bakırhan, on the other hand, claimed that a "silent genocide rehearsal" is taking place in Aleppo and responded to Bahçeli by saying, "We will never remain silent."
The response from Tuncer Bakırhan, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, came in response to the words of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli targeting the DEM Party through Aleppo and the SDF during the group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Bakırhan used the expression "a silent rehearsal of genocide" regarding the events in Aleppo during his party's group meeting, stating, "We will never remain silent."
BAHÇELİ: THE LANGUAGE OF THE DEM PARTY IS PROBLEMATIC
Bahçeli reacted to the statements of the DEM Party based on the developments in Aleppo, saying, "The words and statements of DEM Party officials starting with 'We warn Turkey' are very sad and problematic language that intends to whitewash and support the YPG."
BAKIRHAN: THEY TELL US TO REMAIN SILENT, WE WILL NEVER REMAIN SILENT
DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan dedicated a significant part of his group speech to the agenda of Aleppo. Stating, "Our eyes have been on Aleppo for the last 10 days," Bakırhan argued that a "silent rehearsal of genocide" is taking place in the region, saying, "They tell us to remain silent, we will never remain silent. We will not approve of this oppression."
EMPHASIS ON "SHEIKH MAKSUT AND ESHREFIYE"
In his speech, Bakırhan made evaluations regarding the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maksut and Eshrefiye, claiming that an "image was created" by labeling the residents of these neighborhoods as "terrorists." Stating, "We know this mentality," Bakırhan continued with, "We know very well the darkness that imposed the brutality in Kobani."
HARSH REACTION TO THE MINISTER OF DEFENSE
Bakırhan also used harsh expressions towards Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler. Saying, "We do not accept this. This Minister of Defense is the Minister of Turkey. He also represents us, the Kurds," Bakırhan reacted with the words, "Why do you get agitated when it comes to being Kurdish?"
