Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran, who tested positive for drugs, was taken into custody from the club building last night. After completing his procedures at the gendarmerie, Saran gave his statement at the courthouse today and was released under judicial control.
The investigation into drug-related activities involving celebrities, initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, is ongoing. Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran was detained after drug tests on hair samples returned positive results. The prosecutor's office announced that Saran was detained on charges of "procurement of narcotic substances, facilitating drug use, and drug use."

MANAGERS AND FANS DID NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE
Vice President Murat Salar, Board Member Ertan Torunoğulları, and many managers and fans came to the Istanbul Courthouse to support Saran. After his statement at the prosecutor's office, Saran was referred to the peace criminal court with a request for judicial control and was released under judicial control.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
Fenerbahçe Sports Club Vice President Murat Salar, along with Board Member Ertan Torunoğulları and many other managers and some fans, came to the Istanbul Courthouse to support Sadettin Saran. After his statement at the prosecutor's office, Saran was referred to the peace criminal court with a request for judicial control. Sadettin Saran was released under judicial control.
WHAT HAPPENED?
As part of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau, a probe was initiated against Saran for the crimes of "procurement of narcotic substances" and "facilitating the use of narcotic substances," and he was instructed to be prepared for questioning at the courthouse.
Saran, who was abroad, came to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan on December 20 and gave a statement to the public prosecutor conducting the investigation. After completing his interrogation at the prosecutor's office, Saran was referred to the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK) for hair and blood samples to be taken. After his procedures were completed there, Saran was brought back to the Istanbul Courthouse.
Saran was referred to the peace criminal court with a request for judicial control in the form of a travel ban due to the charges of "procurement of narcotic substances," "drug use," and "facilitating drug use," and the court issued a decision for judicial control as requested.
In the report prepared by the ATK, it was determined that Saran's hair samples tested positive for drugs, while the results of blood, urine, and nail samples were negative.
