Adil Karaismailoglu, Chairman of the TBMM Public Works, Reconstruction, Transportation and Tourism Commission, announced that charter flights from Cairo, the capital of Egypt, to Trabzon have commenced following the transfer of Mohamed Salah. Additionally, it was announced that flights from Iran to Trabzon are also planned.
The Chairman of the TBMM Public Works, Reconstruction, Transportation and Tourism Commission and AK Party Trabzon Deputy Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that charter flights from Egypt's capital Cairo to Trabzon have started following the transfer of world-famous Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah.
FIRST FLIGHT FROM CAIRO TO TRABZON CARRIED OUT
Making statements on the subject, AK Party Trabzon Deputy Adil Karaismailoğlu said, "On Wednesday, August 5, the first charter flight from Cairo to Trabzon was carried out. On this flight, 120 Egyptian tourists reached our city from their own country without any transfers. The interest of our Egyptian guests in our city is increasing day by day. In 2025, the number of visitors increased by 20 percent compared to 2024. It is not hard to predict that this number will climb much higher this year with our Trabzonspor's major transfer, Mohamed Salah, wearing the burgundy-blue jersey."
AFTER EGYPT, FLIGHTS TO TRABZON FROM IRAN AS WELL
Karaismailoğlu, stating that they expect an influx of tourists from Iran to Trabzon after Egypt, said, "On August 11, the first scheduled flight from Tehran to Trabzon will take place. The flights, to be held 2 days a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, will continue until October 23. The flights, which may continue depending on demand, will make positive contributions to the tourism of both countries. Trabzon, by blending all the elements of being a city of culture, art, sports, nature, history, literature and of course tourism, and making its needs and investments in this direction, presents itself to humanity's visit and service."
