Nazife Gül, 103, who lives in Malatya and was born in the same year as the Republic, celebrated the October 29 Republic Day with a cake. Gül, whose house was heavily damaged in the February 6 earthquakes and who lived in Elazığ for a while, moved into an earthquake housing built by TOKİ. Ömer Faruk Ergün, Malatya Provincial Director of Family and Social Services, visited Gül.
In Malatya, 103-year-old Nazife Gül celebrated the 103rd anniversary of the Republic with a cake bearing her own age. Gül, who returned to Malatya after the earthquake, lives with her son and daughter-in-law.
SHE WAS BORN IN THE SAME YEAR AS THE REPUBLIC
Gül, who was born on March 1, 1923, had her home severely damaged in the February 6, 2023 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş.
After the earthquakes, Gül settled with her son and daughter-in-law in Elazığ and lived there with the rental support provided by the state. After the earthquake housing built by TOKİ was delivered, she returned to Malatya.
SHE HAS 7 CHILDREN AND 20 GRANDCHILDREN
Gül, who lives with her son and daughter-in-law in the Çamurlu TOKİ Residences in the Battalgazi district, has 7 children and 20 grandchildren.
