It was determined that the courier, who was seriously injured in an armed attack during a delivery in Pendik, Istanbul on October 15, was the wrong target because he was using the same make and model vehicle as the actual target. In operations in Istanbul and Sakarya, 15 suspects were caught, 2 of whom were arrested.
Following the determination that the courier who was seriously injured during a delivery in Pendik was the wrong target and the uncovering of the connection between the long-barreled armed attack in Ümraniye and the same criminal organization, 15 people were caught in operations carried out in Istanbul and Sakarya.
Within the scope of the joint work carried out with the Istanbul Police Department Public Order Branch Directorate and Intelligence Branch Directorate, the connections between two separate armed attacks were uncovered.
THE COURIER WAS THE WRONG TARGET
In the incident involving the courier who was seriously injured after being subjected to an armed attack while making a delivery in Pendik Ahmet Yesevi Neighborhood on October 15, it was determined that the target was confused because the vehicle used by the person considered to be the actual target and the vehicle used by the courier were of the same make and model.
THE SAME ORGANIZATION EMERGED IN THE ATTACK IN ÜMRANİYE
On October 24, in examinations regarding the incident in Ümraniye Cemil Meriç Neighborhood, which was carried out with a long-barreled weapon and in which a person was seriously injured, threatening messages were detected on the victim's phone.
