Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Gülpınar: Congratulations to Refah Market for coming to our city.

The Refah Market, implemented as a pilot project in Şanlıurfa, stands out as a product of the social municipality understanding. The market offers approximately 300 types of products and does not include boycotted products on its shelves. Refah Market, which will provide services with a disciplined and controllable management approach, will act with a perspective that prioritizes social municipality.

The project, carried out in collaboration with İbrahim'i Yardımlaşma ve Kardeşlik Derneği, established within Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, is also supported by the personal contributions of Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar.

Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar, donated two months of his salary to Refah Market through İbrahim'i Yardımlaşma ve Kardeşlik Derneği. This donation is important for the sustainability and expansion of social assistance in the city.

"WE ARE IMPLEMENTING A DISCIPLINED AND CONTROLLED STRUCTURE"

After examining the products in the shelves of Refah Market, Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar made evaluations to the press members and said, "Today, we are putting into operation one of the services that I have received the first fruits of. First of all, congratulations to all of our Şanlıurfa." Mayor Gülpınar said, "Of course, it is necessary to emphasize that our political understanding is not based on denying anything that has been done before. We have always said 'thank you' to those who have contributed and put a stone on top of another. Ingratitude is definitely not in our motto or understanding of politics. A building is not just about the foundation. When you lay a foundation, you do not build the building. I thank those who laid the foundation, of course, I say 'thank you, may Allah be pleased with them.' But now, when you enter, we are putting into operation a structure that is completely disciplined and completely under control, unlike a structure with only 15-16 types of products and no records kept, where even those who do not deserve it come and benefit."

"WE WILL OPEN REFAH MARKET IN DISTRICTS IN THE FUTURE"

Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar emphasized that they will make efforts to increase the number of Refah Markets and stated that they plan to open them in districts in the future. He also announced that he donated his two months' salary to Refah Market, which is the door opened to goodness through the association. Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar said, "There are approximately 300 types of products inside. From now on, these activities will be carried out through İbrahim'i Kardeşlik Ve Yardımlaşma Derneği. This association is an existing association of the municipality. I especially want to emphasize this because we have many philanthropists in Urfa. I know that they will definitely get involved in this work. Because these structures are structures that stand with the support of philanthropists."

Mayor Gülpınar concluded his statement with the following words: "Here, with the municipality, we are implementing such an activity for the purpose of helping the poor and needy without wasting any penny of that money with a solid management. Today, we have implemented this as a pilot application in Urfa. We will spread it from now on. Not only in one point of Urfa, but also in the center of Şanlıurfa and especially in the big districts of Urfa, we will increase our activities in order to spread it."

Our people did not believe in perceptions. Let alone cutting off social assistance, we have two very important activities that we will give importance to in Şanlıurfa, especially in the five-year period. The first is to extend a helping hand to disadvantaged groups, to protect and take care of them more, and to provide these aids to those who truly deserve them. The second is our fight against drugs. We will soon announce the good news of a very important project to save our young people from this drug addiction. We have taken a step into it and we are about to complete it. So far, we have delivered the assistance to 1065 needy citizens from Refah Market. In the coming period, many more disadvantaged families will benefit from here."
