Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq al-Rabiah, announced that the number of pilgrims coming to the country for the Hajj ritual has exceeded 860,000. It was stated that the majority of pilgrims entered the country by air.
Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced that the number of pilgrims coming to the country to perform the Hajj ritual has exceeded 860,000.
Speaking at a press conference, Rabiah stated that more than 820,000 of the pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia by air.
ENTRIES VIA LAND AND SEA CONTINUE
Minister Rabiah said that the number of pilgrims entering through land border crossings has exceeded 35,000, while those arriving by sea have surpassed 4,000.
EMPHASIS ON THE "MAKKAH ROUTE"
Rabiah noted that more than 240,000 of the over 860,000 pilgrims arriving in the country reached Saudi Arabia under the "Makkah Route" initiative, adding that Hajj operations are proceeding as planned.
