Attorney Buzbee had previously announced that 120 individuals he represents, who claim to have been sexually assaulted and abused by Combs, would file lawsuits, with half being male and half female.
Later, it was announced that new lawsuits had been filed against Combs for allegedly sexually abusing six individuals, four of whom are male, including a 16-year-old child. DIDDY'S DARK PASTCombs, known as "Diddy," was arrested on September 16 on charges of "sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, unlawful detention, arson, drug possession, bribery, and obstruction of justice." The 14-page indictment shared with the public on September 17 stated that Combs often hosted parties called "Freak Offs," which lasted for days and were usually recorded, at his homes, and that he forced attendees to engage in sexual intercourse. The indictment noted that Combs used methods such as "threatening to control their careers by using his influence, and committing economic, psychological, verbal, and physical violence" against victims, and that "drugs" were seized during searches of the rapper's homes. The indictment also recorded that Combs offered bribes to witnesses and victims to remain silent or to testify falsely. Combs has denied all charges against him in the federal court where he was brought in Manhattan.
If found guilty, Combs could face a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life imprisonment. The lawsuits against the American producer and rapper are set to begin on May 5, 2025.
