The family of Kadir İnanır, the giant figure of Turkish cinema who passed away at the age of 77, was shaken by a second great sorrow within three days. The veteran actor's death plunged the family into mourning again, following the recent loss of his sister Altun Arıca.
Kadir İnanır, one of the unforgettable names of Yeşilçam and a master actor of Turkish cinema, passed away at the age of 77 in the hospital where he had been receiving treatment. The veteran artist, who was being treated for pneumonia due to a lung condition and was intubated in recent days as his health deteriorated, left the art community and millions of fans in deep mourning.
İnanır, whose treatment in intensive care continued after his life partner Jülide Kural recently stated, “We are going through a risky process,” could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions.

Throughout his artistic career spanning more than half a century, Kadir İnanır made his mark on numerous unforgettable films and became one of the strongest figures in Turkish cinema with the characters he portrayed. Starting from the 1970s, İnanır won the love of millions with numerous productions in which he played leading roles, received many awards throughout his career, and was considered one of the living symbols of Turkish cinema.
HE WAS IN INTENSIVE CARE IN HIS FINAL DAYS
According to available information, Kadir İnanır was hospitalized after the progression of his lung condition. The artist, who was treated with a diagnosis of pneumonia, gradually worsened over time. İnanır continued his treatment in the intensive care unit and was intubated and connected to a life support unit. However, despite the intense efforts of doctors over several days, the master artist lost his battle for life.
THE FAMILY WAS SHATTERED FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A ROW
Kadir İnanır's death deepened the pain his family experienced even more. It was learned that the master artist's sister, Altun Arıca, had also passed away just three days earlier. After the funeral ceremony held in Fatsa, the family was now shaken by the grief of Kadir İnanır.
Altun Arıca was not only the sister of actor Kadir İnanır but also the mother of Levent İnanır, Bülent Arıca, and the late national football player Erdoğan Arıca.
While the two consecutive losses plunged the İnanır family and their close circle into deep sorrow, numerous condolence messages from the art world began to be shared.
