The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) made a striking statement regarding Russian intelligence activities in the country.

PET Chief Emil Graesholm, in a statement to the Danish broadcaster DR, said they had received information indicating that Russia is preparing concrete sabotage against some companies.

"PLANNED IN A CONCRETE MANNER"

Graesholm noted that this situation should not be assessed merely as a potential threat that might emerge in the future.

Graesholm, arguing that the sabotage preparations are being planned in a concrete manner, claimed that Russia's targets include companies in Denmark linked to aid provided to Ukraine.

ALLEGATION OF "RECRUITMENT" VIA SOCIAL MEDIA

In PET's written statement, it was noted that findings have been obtained indicating that Russian intelligence is attempting to "recruit" Danish citizens through social media and various platforms.

It was stated that some individuals have been deceived and are passing on information without knowing who they are truly working for. It was claimed that the information obtained by these individuals could be used in sabotage activities.

INTELLIGENCE UNITS UNDER CLOSE SURVEILLANCE

PET announced that the developments are being monitored in close cooperation with the Danish Defence Intelligence Service and the Danish Agency for Societal Security.
