Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a video of himself exercising on his social media account. Stating that he has been following the same training program for years, Netanyahu also offered advice to young people who want to join the military. Netanyahu said, “Train and don’t give up. You have the capacity to do much more than you think.”
After images of Russian President Vladimir Putin's judo and outdoor sports, and Brazilian President Lula da Silva's fitness workouts, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also released a video showing his morning routine.
A MESSAGE TO YOUTH FROM THE GYM
In the video shared on his social media accounts, Netanyahu stated that he starts his day at the gym.
The video begins with Netanyahu working his arms on a cable machine when a young person approaches him.
To the young person's question, "Mr. Prime Minister, may I interrupt your workout?" Netanyahu replies, "You may, but you will have to work hard for it."
Continuing his conversation with the young person while lifting weights, Netanyahu notes that he spends almost every morning here, and then gives the following advice to young people about to join the military:
"Train and don't give up. You are capable of much more than you think."
NUTRITION AND DAILY HABITS
In the continuation of the video, Netanyahu touches on the decisions he has made to maintain his physical fitness, emphasizing that he prefers taking the stairs instead of the elevator.
After the workout, the Prime Minister goes to the kitchen to prepare his own food, stating that he consumes boiled eggs to meet his protein needs and emphasizes the importance of natural nutrition.
Describing protein shakes as "awful," Netanyahu underscores his preference for natural protein with these words: "Boiled eggs with lots of salt... Some people ban salt, but it's essential for protein."
A "FIT IMAGE" TREND AMONG LEADERS
In recent times, world leaders sharing their workout routines on social media has become part of the "fit and energetic leader" image in political communication. The live-streamed exercises of 80-year-old Lula da Silva and Putin's long-standing sports-focused posts are among the most well-known examples of this trend. Former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has also joined this trend recently with videos shared from the gym.
