In Istanbul’s Başakşehir district, a café that was reported to have used the phrase “directly opposite a 5,000-person girls’ dormitory” in its advertisement was sealed by municipal police teams.
It was reported that a café operating in Başakşehir used the phrase “directly across from the 5,000-person girls’ dormitory” in its advertisements to promote its location.
The business, which came to the agenda with the advertisement phrase in question, was sealed by municipal police teams.
MOMENTS OF SEALING WERE CAPTURED ON CAMERA
In photos taken in front of the business, municipal police officers were seen applying a sealing process to the café’s glass door. The moments when the teams checked the door during the procedure were also reflected in the footage.
An official statement regarding the reason why the café was sealed has not yet been shared. Therefore, it has not become clear whether the sealing decision was taken directly because of the advertisement phrase.
