In the accident, District Governor Çınarka, his wife, Prosecutor Hidayet Nur Çınarka, and two other people were injured. The injured were taken to Akşehir State Hospital for treatment, and it was reported that their health conditions are good. It was learned that Çınarka had started his new duty yesterday.

SWERVING TRAILER HIT THE GOVERNOR'S VEHICLE
The accident occurred around 09:30 on the Konya-Afyonkarahisar highway near Yeniköy Neighborhood. A foreign-plated SUV, whose driver's name has not yet been learned, rear-ended the trailer of a tractor loaded with wheat. The swerving trailer also hit the official vehicle of Sultandağı District Governor Muhammet Çınarka with license plate 03 AA 112. The wheat from the overturned tractor spilled onto the road.
4 INJURED INCLUDING THE GOVERNOR AND HIS PROSECUTOR WIFE
In the accident, District Governor Muhammet Çınarka, his wife Public Prosecutor Hidayet Nur Çınarka, and Kadir Çelik (51) and Halil İbrahim Taş (58) in the vehicle were injured. Upon the notification, police, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Akşehir State Hospital by ambulances. It was stated that the health condition of the injured under treatment was good.
STARTED HIS NEW DUTY YESTERDAY
It was reported that District Governor Çınarka was appointed from Tuzlukçu District Governorship to Sultandağı District Governor with the latest appointment decision and started his duty in the district yesterday in line with the Ministry of Interior's approval dated August 19, 2026, and numbered 118364.
