Former HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, who has been imprisoned for approximately 9.5 years, was brought to Adana under police escort for the funeral of her deceased brother Mehmet Cavit Yüksekdağ.
Mehmet Cavit Yüksekdağ, who passed away in a hospital where he had been receiving treatment for a while, was bid farewell after the funeral ceremony. Figen Yüksekdağ, who is held in Kocaeli Kandıra No. 1 High Security Closed Prison, was accompanied by police during the funeral.
DEM PARTY DELEGATION DID NOT LEAVE HER ALONE
DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları and DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit also attended the funeral. In a statement made by the party, it was noted that they stood by Yüksekdağ during her time of grief, and condolences were conveyed to her family.
SHE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL LOSSES IN A ROW
It was learned that Yüksekdağ, who has been in prison for a long time, lost her father, two brothers, and one sister during this period, and she was unable to be with her loved ones in their final moments.
