In Bahçelievler, 54-year-old Hüseyin Veznedar was killed by a person wearing a white bag on their head, who concealed their face in the middle of the street. A detailed investigation by the police revealed that Veznedar was murdered by his lover as part of a plan orchestrated by his wife, with whom he had been married since 2012.
An incident that chills the blood occurred on May 9 in the Çoban Çeşme neighborhood of the Bahçelievler district in Istanbul. Hüseyin Veznedar (54), who is reported to operate a cafeteria, was shot by a person hiding their face with a white bag on the street. Veznedar, who was hit by 5 bullets in the attack, died at the scene while the assailant fled on foot.
HIS WIFE MET SOMEONE ELSE ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT In the investigation initiated by the Homicide Bureau to capture the suspect after the incident, the statement of Z.V., the wife who parked her car on the street at the time of the attack, was taken. Z.V. recounted that her husband called her to come down to the street to shop, and that the incident occurred at that time. After Z.V.'s contradictory statements, police teams continued their work. Following the investigations, footage was obtained showing Z.V. and a man going to a hotel together in the early hours of the incident day.
HE DESCRIBED THE MURDER PLAN After the footage, Z.V. was questioned again and confessed to planning the murder of her husband, providing the name of the suspect who carried out the attack. In her statement to the police, Z.V. said, "We had a romantic relationship for a long time. I wanted to break up, but Hüseyin did not want to separate from me. He was threatening me. On the day of the incident, I met with my boyfriend Ufuk. After talking for a while, we came to the house. I dropped Ufuk off a street behind. I called him down with a pretext. While he was coming towards me, suddenly there was a gun attack. I was waiting for Ufuk to talk to him and convince him. I didn't know he would kill him." After this statement, Z.V. was sent to the courthouse and was arrested by the court.
The murdered Hüseyin Veznedar THE FUGITIVE SUSPECT WAS CAUGHT IN BURSA Following Z.V.'s statement, police teams initiated a search to capture Ufuk A., determining that the suspect had fled to Bursa. Ufuk A. was caught at the hotel where he was staying in Bursa and was taken into custody and brought to the Istanbul Homicide Bureau. In his initial interrogation, the suspect confessed to his crime, stating that he met Z.V. online, that they had been in a relationship for a while, and that he became resentful when she said her husband was beating and torturing her. However, the suspect Ufuk A. did not give an official statement and exercised his right to remain silent. After completing the procedures at the police station, the suspect was sent to the courthouse.
