A person named Sezgin Ç. lost his life as a result of a gun attack at his home in Istanbul. Police teams determined that the murder was committed by a person named Murtaza İ. In his statement to the police, the suspect said, "He saw our messages on social media with my wife. That's why we met."
Sezgin Ç., who was messaging with his wife on social media, met Murtaza İ. at his home in Sultanbeyli, and after a dispute, Murtaza İ. shot and killed Sezgin Ç.
THE DISPUTE ESCALATED INTO A GUNFIGHT
The incident occurred around 5:30 PM in the Battalgazi neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a person named Murtaza İ. had been messaging with Sezgin Ç.'s wife on a social media platform for some time. Noticing the situation, Sezgin Ç. and Murtaza İ. met at Sezgin Ç.'s residence and began to argue. The argument quickly escalated into a gunfight.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Murtaza İ. shot Sezgin Ç. with his gun. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that Sezgin Ç. had lost his life.
HE WAS DETAINED
During the investigation conducted by the crime scene investigation teams, 4 empty bullet casings were found at the crime scene, while Murtaza İ., who shot Sezgin Ç., was captured and detained by the police shortly after the incident. In his interrogation, the suspect stated that he saw Sezgin Ç. messaging with his wife on a social media platform and went to meet him, saying, "I saw the messages with his wife. I got into a jealousy crisis, we met and talked. Then we started arguing." During the interrogation, it was learned that Murtaza İ. had met and argued at the scene for this reason and subsequently opened fire on Sezgin Ç.
