A 5-year-old child named Menesa Özel, who was reported missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, was found dead in the pool in the garden of her home. An investigation into the death of the young child, who was buried after an autopsy, continues.
Five-year-old Menesa Özel, reported missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, was found dead in the garden pool of her home during search efforts by her family and teams.
MISSING PERSON REPORT FILED
The incident occurred in the rural Tellikaya neighborhood of Bağlar district. The Özel family realized their 5-year-old daughter Menesa Özel was not at home yesterday evening. After failing to find her through their own searches in the vicinity, the family went to the Bağlar Jandarma Station and filed a missing person report.
FOUND MOTIONLESS IN POOL
Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. As part of the search efforts initiated by the teams, the water in the pool located in the garden of the house was drained. During the inspection, Menesa Özel was found motionless in the pool.
Health teams determined that the young child had lost her life.
LAID TO REST WITH TEARS
Menesa Özel's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to definitively determine the cause of death. After the autopsy procedures, the body was handed over to her family and laid to rest in the neighborhood cemetery amid tears. The investigation launched into the incident continues.
