Following the death in 2024 of Ahu Tuğba, one of Yeşilçam’s unforgettable names, her daughter Anjelik Calvin, who continues her life in the US, decided to return to the police profession. It drew attention that Calvin, who stated that the inheritance left from her mother could suffice for her for a lifetime, took action to return to her profession despite this wealth.
Anjelik Calvin, the daughter of famous Yeşilçam actress Ahu Tuğba, who passed away in 2024, is preparing to return to the police profession she took a break from after her mother's death. Calvin, who came to Turkey from the USA, announced that she made the necessary applications to return to duty while continuing her work on the cinema legacy and copyrights left by her mother.
SHE SUBMITTED HER APPLICATIONS TO RETURN TO POLICE WORK
Anjelik Calvin, who works as a police officer in the US state of Florida, stated that she took a break from her profession after her mother's death. Making statements while in Turkey, Calvin emphasized that she does not intend to act and said that her actual profession is policing.
Calvin, who stated that she made the necessary applications to return to duty after her mother's death, expressed that she will start police work again.
“I WOULDN’T EVEN HAVE TO WORK,” SHE HAD SAID
Anjelik Calvin had also attracted attention with her previous statements about the inheritance left by her mother Ahu Tuğba. Stating that her mother left her a significant inheritance consisting of real estate and various incomes, Calvin had used the expressions, “I can say she left a hefty inheritance. She has properties, a pile of income. I wouldn’t even have to work.”
Saying that the inheritance left by her mother provides her with financial security, Calvin also announced her decision to return to the police profession.
SHE WANTS TO PROTECT HER MOTHER’S CINEMA LEGACY
It was reported that Calvin, who stated that one of the reasons for her coming to Turkey was the copyrights arising from Ahu Tuğba’s films, met with lawyers in order to protect her mother’s cinema legacy.
Ahu Tuğba passed away on September 1, 2024, in the US state of Florida at the age of 69. The famous actress was laid to rest in Istanbul in accordance with her will.
